When you wrap your water heater in an insulation blanket or covering, you can reduce standby heat losses by 25%–45%, which works out to be about 4% – 9% of water heating costs.  Pre-cut jackets (sexy!) are available from around $10–$20, which pretty much pays for itself in about a year of heating savings. Wish we could say the same about a regular jacket.  So, don’t let that man stand naked any longer – give him the respectful fashionable dressing he deserves.
