stock up.

Refrigerators and freezers are some of the biggest energy users in your home, but they’re awfully necessary. To help reduce the amount of energy these appliances need, keep them stocked! Because food retains more cool than air does, a well-stocked refrigerator and freezer takes less energy to cool than an empty one. Don’t over-fill the fridge, just keep it full. Don’t have enough groceries to do the job? Us either! We fill old water bottles with tap water to take up real estate in the fridge and freezer (the frozen ones double as ice packs) to help things run more efficiently.
