| Plenty Magazine |

September’s book-of-the-month isn’t exactly a book, but it is recommended green-themed reading (without the 300 page commitment). Plenty magazine is our new favorite periodical to bring on planes and buses and to talk about later. Each shiny issue is full of interesting articles about the things we’re into, such as food, home, design, architecture, cars, clothing, travel, and leisure, while keeping the environment firmly in focus.
The August/September issue features articles ranging from surfing to protecting endangered species, with lots of additional goodies in between. We love all the facts and tips we pick up in each issue and have bought more than one product showcased on the “Green Gear” pages. While some eco-mags come off a bit crunchy, Plenty never does. The writing style is witty and irreverent, the titles are wickedly clever and the pictures are gorgeous. Plenty produces 6 issues per year, but if you’re concerned about the use of paper, a digital subscription is available for just $10 per year (and includes all past issues).
Plenty’s motto is, “it’s easy being green”, and we couldn’t agree more, but reading the latest issue of Plenty, we get the feeling it’s cool being green as well.
