set your tea free.

Americans drink more than 122 billion cups of tea per year, adding up to a whole whack of tea bags. These bags are considered wasteful packaging because they are made from wood and vegetable fibers. On top of that, the paper fiber is bleached to look “clean” and white. Consider buying your tea in bulk (experiment with your own creations and blends) and purchase one instrument to steep with – a strainer, net, filter, ball, infuser, or, a personal fave, unbleached reusable cloth bags. Plus, just between you, me, and the fence post, loose tea tastes better and your company will be oh so impressed.
