By now you know that the best answer to “paper or plastic?” is “neither”. Remembering to pass on grocery bags is the easy part, but remembering to bring your own bag is a little tougher. Try keeping reusable totes in the trunk of your car. Store a bag (or three or five) in your trunk so you always have them handy. When you unload your groceries back at home, hang your bags on the front door knob to remind you to stash them back in the car the next time you go out. Don’t drive a car? Good for you! Buy a hook for your front door to hang your bags on in between shopping trips.
